We're happy to have several projects selected for inclusion in Samford University's .918 Letterpress Ephemera Show. Selected projects include an event poster designed for The Art Institute of York and a birth announcement. These two award-winning projects are among 129 winning entries selected for "creative excellence and craft" out of 548 total submissions. After the show, both projects will become part of the permanent collection of Samford University.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
The .918 Letterpress Ephemera Show will take place from Oct 18th through Nov 29th, 2013 at the Samford University Art Gallery in Birmingham, AL, USA.

The work in this international juried art show represents some of the most talented letterpress artists from around the world. Show Jurors include: internationally known consultant, instructor, and author Paul Moxon; letterpress printer and bookbinder Sarah Bryant from Brighton UK; and American graphic designer and educator Scott Fisk.

Ephemera is defined as any transitory written or printed matter not meant to be retained or preserved. Examples of letterpress printed ephemera include: posters, greeting cards, pamphlets, postcards, tickets and zines.

The name of this show is based on the fact that letterpress wood and metal type is made .918 inches tall.
