Located just off of a Lincoln Highway (Route 30) in York, Pennsylvania sits a shoe-shaped house known world-wide as the the Haines Shoe House. It was originally built in 1948 by "The Shoe Wizard" Mahlon Haines to serve as a disruptive, three-dimensional advertisement for his shoe company. Today, it functions as a tourist attraction where visitors can take a tour or enjoy a ice cream and other tasty treats.
